I finally got into the Diwali cooking mood the day before Diwali and that explains the delayed festival posts. I called my mom and explained the snack that I loved as a kid. She immediately gave me the recipe and it was pretty simple. I have already posted the savory version of the same here.
Butter adds a nice flavor as always and the sweetness was just right. I made two batches with different sugar quantities and K preferred the one with less sugar and I liked the one with more sugar. Either way it is a yummy treat not just for festival season, but year round. Off to the recipe.

Deep fried biscuits made with all purpose flour.
Mix powdered sugar and butter. To it add all purpose flour and salt. Using water form a thick dough like poori dough.
Allow the dough to rest for atleast 30 minutes. Divide dough into two pieces and roll each piece into a slightly thick circle. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut into small pieces.
Heat oil and fry the pieces little by little. When they turn golden brown remove from oil.
2. Mix to combine.
3. Add all purpose flour and salt to it.
4. Using water form a thick dough similar to poori dough. Allow the dough to rest for at least 30 min.
5. Divide the dough into two pieces. Roll each piece into a slightly thick circle.
6. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut into small pieces.
7. Heat oil and add the pieces little by little.
8. When the pieces turn golden brown, remove from oil.
Enjoy!
