Green Gram Dal, Carrot and Potato Curry

Green gram dal is for day 7 of the blogging marathon. I initially had a different dish planned for G, but when Saras announced the ingredients for Dish-It-Out, I changed my mind. The only change that I made to the usual recipe was that I added carrots. When my MIL visited us years back, she made this side dish for rotis and I instantly loved it. There is something about the ginger and dal combo and it is also very easy to make. Should I mention that it is healthy too?

Chillies and ginger are the important ingredients in this dish. Adjust those according to taste. Off to the healthy recipe.
