I am overjoyed with the response I received for ‘Fast Food not Fat Food‘. Thanks Priya for letting me host the event. The event focused on healthy eating and here we have 80 yummy entries to choose from and each entry is unique in its own way. The entries range from rice to pasta to sandwiches and much more. Let us eat healthy and stay healthy.

Thanks a bunch friends and please accept this award as a token of appreciation for participating and making this event a success. A special thanks is in order for Kalyani who has sent me 9 entries. Thanks Kalyani. I would also like to thank my sister Karpagam who has emailed me her entries.

Harini of ‘Sugar ‘n’ Spice’ has sent us Bread Chaat. She has also given the recipe for various chutneys. Who could resist this?

Nupur Mehra from ‘UK-Rasoi’ has sent us Masala BaatiTwice Baked Herby Potatoes: Double Dhamaal and Potato Zucchini Pancakes.



Jabeen of ‘Jabeen’s Corner’ sends in Savory Cookies / Baked Masala vadai / Paruppu Vadai. Love this version since it is baked and also we don’t have to sweat in front of the stove. Pop it into the oven and we are done :) . She also sends ‘Noodles Cutlet‘ using maggi. Has to be any kid’s favorite.

Sharada of ‘Cinnamon N Chillies’ has sent us Grilled Potato Chaat with Coriander Flavor.

Denny of ‘Oh Taste n See’ has sent us Baked Ragi Lauki Kofta Curry. It has ‘healthy’ written all over it. Yummy.

Krithi of ‘Krithi’s Kitchen’ has sent us Indian Style – Oven Roasted Baby Potatoes. Craving for french fries .. this is an healthy alternative. Enjoy. She also sends in Barley Upma and Carrot Basil Bruschetta.

Rajani of ‘My Kitchen Trials’ sends in Potato Sandwich which is perfectly made and can be a snack or for brunch.

Priya Sreeram of ‘Bon Appetit’ sends in Roasted Carrot Hummus & Hummus Wrap. Hummus with carrots is delicious and inviting. She also sends us Stuffed Pepper with Cracked Wheat Upma.

Harini-Jaya of ‘Tamalapaku’ sends in Oats Spinach Cutlets. Sure winner with healthy ingredients. She also sends in Dal Makhani – Low Fat and Home Made Paneer Pizza with Whole Wheat. Pizza made healthy using whole wheat flour.

From my kitchen comes Spaghetti with Paneer ballsTabbouleh using Quinoa and tasty Bok Choy Kootu.

Kalva of ‘Curry In Kadai’ sends us Mushroom Aloo Tikkis which are healthy and tasty.

Archana of ‘The Mad Scientist’s Kitchen!!’ sends us Grilled Paneer Grilled Elephant’s Foot Grilled Baby Corn. She says ‘we can cook healthy and tasty at the same time’.

Sobha Shyam of ‘Good Food’ has sent Baked Soya Bread Cutlets. Enjoy the guilt free snack with a cup of tea. She also sends in Tapioca and Soya Puffs.

Priya Srinivasan of ‘Enveetu Kitchen’ sends us Quick Cheesy Capsicum Sandwich. Capsicum in a sandwich .. neat way to get the kids to eat this vegetable.

Shobha of ‘Food Mazaa’ has sent us Corn Raita Toated Sandwich which sure is healthy and tasty. She also sends in Carrot-Paneer Toasted Sandwich and Masala Moong Sprouts.
