How to make Croutons

This is a ridiculously easy recipe and I make these croutons any time I make soup obviously :) . Since these are baked in the oven, they are healthy and they also serve as mini snacks which my kids love. French bread would be best for this, but I have used regular sandwich bread because it was waiting to be used.
Croutons would be a perfect accompaniment to any soup or salad. Check out Carrot Lentil Soup and Tomato Soup. Off to the recipe.

Ingredients
6 bread slices
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Italian seasoning

Notes
1. Any seasonings can be added.
2. You can also make these in a skillet over a stove top.
3. Leftover bread works best.

Method
Cut the bread slices into cubes. Serrated knife works best.

Add olive oil.

Add salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Toss gently.

Spread in a single layer in a cookie sheet. Place in a 375F preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the pieces have browned.

Keep an eye on the pieces as they tend to go from brown to black pretty easily.

Out of the oven.

Croutons ready to be served with soup or can have it as a snack too :) .
