Cinnamon rolls are easy to make and with some planning, you can have it ready for breakfast. I messed up the butter mixture by melting the butter. It is better to keep the butter in a spreadable consistency to prevent it from flowing out while cutting. Even with the messy filling, the rolls turned out great and was loved by kids. Off to the recipe.
Cinnamon rolls.
Make a dough with the ingredients under "Dough". Allow to rise until doubled.
Mix butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll the dough into a 12 x 9 rectangle roughly. Spread the butter-cinnamon mixture on it.
Roll tightly along the long edge. Slice into spirals. Use a clean floss wire to get good cuts.
Place the spirals on a greased sheet and allow to rise. When ready, bake in a preheated 375F oven for 20 - 25min until the rolls are golden brown.
Glaze
Mix powdered sugar with a tablespoon of milk and vanilla extract. Add more milk if needed until you get the desired consistency. Drizzle over the rolls.
