Moong Dal Murukku
Posted By Vardhini On November 13, 2015 @ 5:32 pm In Diwali,Gallery,Indian,Kid Friendly,Snacks | No Comments
This is another snack that I made for Diwali that the kids enjoyed a lot. I have made it a few times until now, but I have not been able to shape the murukkus. So, I usually just squeeze it directly in oil. The moong dal adds a nice flavor to the murruku and it will be gone in no time. Off to the recipe.

Deep fried snack with moong dal and flour.
Cook moong dal and mash well using a ladle or a blender to a smooth paste.
Mix all the ingredients except oil and water. Add water little by little and make a dough.
Heat oil and squeeze the murukkus directly in oil. When the hissing sound stops, remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Once cooled store in airtight containers.
2. Take all the ingredients except oil and water.
3. Mix together.
4. Add water little by little and make a dough.
5. Heat oil in a vessel and squeeze the murukkus in the oil.
6. When the hissing sound stops, remove from oil.
Enjoy!
