Sourdough Biscuits | Cooks JoyI was introduced to sourdough by my friend Rachel and have been baking sourdough bread since. For a change I decided to try these biscuits and needless to say they were a total hit with kids. When using sourdough you have to plan ahead since the dough takes a while to rise. This is an easy biscuit and is sure to be loved by all. Off to the recipe. Recipe from here.Sourdough Biscuits | Cooks Joy

Fermented Sourdough Biscuits

Fermented Sourdough Biscuits

Flaky biscuits.

Cut the butter into all purpose flour until the mixture resembles crumbs. Add honey, milk and starter and mix using a spatula. Allow to sit until doubled. I left it overnight.

Sprinkle baking soda, baking powder and salt and knead it into the dough gently. Pat the dough on a floured surface and cut using a biscuit cutter dipped in flour.

Place the biscuits on a greased cast iron skillet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for about 20 - 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and biscuit is done.

Serve warm.

My Notes
The dough is sticky to work with.
