I was introduced to sourdough by my friend Rachel and have been baking sourdough bread since. For a change I decided to try these biscuits and needless to say they were a total hit with kids. When using sourdough you have to plan ahead since the dough takes a while to rise. This is an easy biscuit and is sure to be loved by all. Off to the recipe. Recipe from here.

Flaky biscuits.
Cut the butter into all purpose flour until the mixture resembles crumbs. Add honey, milk and starter and mix using a spatula. Allow to sit until doubled. I left it overnight.
Sprinkle baking soda, baking powder and salt and knead it into the dough gently. Pat the dough on a floured surface and cut using a biscuit cutter dipped in flour.
Place the biscuits on a greased cast iron skillet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for about 20 - 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and biscuit is done.
Serve warm.
2. Using a pastry cutter or fingers, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles crumbs.
3. Add the honey, milk and sourdough starter.
4. Mix using a spatula. Cover and allow to rise. I left it overnight.
5. The dough has doubled.
6. Sprinkle baking soda, baking powder and salt. Knead those into the dough gently.
7. Pat the dough over a floured surface.
8. Cut using a biscuit cutter. Dip the cutter in flour since the dough is sticky.
9. Place on a greased cast iron skillet. Bake in a preheated 400F oven until the top is golden brown.
10. Biscuits ready.
Enjoy!
