Rye Crackers

I was introduced to rye flour by my friend and this recipe on the bag caught my attention. These crackers use caraway seeds and I was finally able to find them online for a good price. The seeds have a unique flavor and the family loves the seeds in bread. This is my first recipe with caraway seeds and it was a hit. You can make them in a jiffy because there is no rising time involved and the crackers just need to bake for a few minutes in the oven. Recipe from Bob’s Red Mill Rye Flour bag. Off to the recipe.

Rye crackers with caraway seeds.
Mix the dry ingredients and the seeds. Add butter and mix well.
Add milk as needed and make a dough. Allow the dough to rest for about 10 minutes. Roll the dough to about 1/8 to 1/16th of an inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes and prick the pieces with a fork.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for about 10 min until the edges are brown. Cool on wire racks.
