This is an extremely simple snack. My mom used to whip this up in a jiffy when we were kids and we had no idea it was this easy to put together. The puffed rice I got here was nowhere close to the ones I have had back home and that disappointed me a bit. As with most chaats, this needs to be consumed as soon as possible or else the puffed rice will absorb the liquid and lose its crunch. Happy snacking everyone. Off to the recipe.
Puffed Rice Chaat
Quick snack with puffed rice.
Ingredients:
- puffed rice - 1 cup
- onion - 1 - 2 tsp - chopped
- tomatoes - 1/4 cup - chopped
- cilantro - 1 - 2 tsp - chopped
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- salt - to taste
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients and serve at once.
1. Adjust the quantity of ingredients to taste.
2. Chaat masala can also be added.

Excellent crunchy snack, feel like munching some.
Very simple and tempting….I sometimes add tomato sauce or ketchup….it adds nice flavor.
