Today is a simple, but delicious recipe that pretty much gets done on its own in the slow cooker. All you have to do is add the ingredients and walk away. Come back to a totally addictive dessert that makes guests think that you were slaving for hours at the stove
. I had earlier posted the stove top method here. I am part of a facebook group dedicated to Instant pot and this recipe was shared by my dear friend Lavanya Karthik. Off to the recipe.

Dessert with rice, milk and sugar.

Homemade ghee can be made following this link
Take milk, sugar and rice in a slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 8 hours. Slow cooker temperatures might vary. Adjust accordingly. [I used the instant pot.]
Heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins. Add to cooked kheer and serve warm or cold. [I did not have raisins on hand.]
Garnish with saffron if available.
2. Heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins. Add to cooked kheer and serve warm or cold.
Enjoy!
