Weekend has been very busy with yard work. As much as I love rain, it has certainly fed the weeds terribly and we spent a considerable amount of time clearing it. The plan is to plant some tomatoes, okra and bell peppers, but my fingers are crossed since we are already at the trail end of planting season.
So, it is strawberry season and the best way to finish up 6 pounds of strawberries that K decided to buy is to make smoothie of course. For one it is easy to make and my boy loves it. The girl on the other hand comes up with a zillion excuses to say that she does not care for it in a nice way just so she does not hurt my feelings. Got to love the excuses like “Pink is my favorite color amma, but that yellow thing on it – I do not like it”. The remaining strawberries went into bread, muffins and milkshakes that will be posted soon. Off to the recipe.
