Noodle Cutlet (Shallow Fried)
Posted By Vardhini On September 1, 2011 @ 3:53 am In Appetizers,Blog Hop,Gallery,Healthy Recipes,Indian,Kid Friendly,Snacks | 1 Comment
Ingredients
1 maggi noodle (no masala)
2 medium potatoes
1 carrot
1/2 cup onion
1 green chilly
handful coriander leaves
Salt
2 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Oil for shallow frying
Method
Cook maggi noodles without the tastemaker and keep aside.
Boil the veggies. I have used potatoes and carrots. Feel free to use any vegetable on hand. (I used the microwave to cook them).
Mash the veggies.
Add the mashed veggies.
Add onions.
Add green chillies.
Add coriander leaves.
Next goes the cumin seeds.
Chat masala powder.
Salt.
Mix everything together.
I wanted the shape of noodles to be retained and hence only mashed it partially.
Take a small portion of the noodle mixture in the palm of your hand.
Flatten it to form a patty.
Place the patties in a pan and shallow fry using oil.
Flip them over. Cook until they are brown on both sides using more oil if needed.
See how pretty they look. These were so irresistible and got over in the next 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
